Five Simple Ways of Easily Reversing Diabetes

November 30th, 2009  |  Published in Sexual Health

Reversing diabetes is so simple when understood in the proper context. Much simpler than it is to understand when being explained scientifically. If the modern medical conception of this disease is on track, then why is it increasing to all but epidemic proportions? They can’t even agree as to what the cause of diabetes is, much less how to cure it.

And after all, does your body really care if you understand the scientific explanation of why it’s not able to work properly? Your body only cares whether you know it needs fixing, and that you not only understand what to do about it, but most importantly, that you do it?

I’m assuming since your taking an interest in reading this article, that your more than familiar with what not to do, in reference to diabetes. I also feel fairly confidant you don’t need to hear what a debilitating and even deadly disease it can become.

I personally want to commend you for taking an interest in healing it naturally, instead of just blindly following the standard symptomatic approach prescribed by conventional medicine, which has more or less conceded to the notion that it’s an incurable phenomenon. Alternative medicine presents a much more positive prognosis toward diabetes, and why shouldn’t it? The results speak for themselves.

Each of the following natural remedies have been credited with singlehandedly eliminating diabetes, and there are so many more that this article just didn’t have the space to mention. Theoretically all of them could be taken advantage of simultaneously, to quickly turnaround a diabetes diagnosis.

The Elemental Miracle: If you were forced to use only one natural diabetic treatment, then I would say pick this one. It’s name definitely describes it’s unique position as a holistic cure all, and the case histories surrounding it’s ability in regards to easily and quickly reversing diabetes, are nothing short of miraculous.

Apple Cider Vinegar And Cinnamon: A very effective natural remedy for reversing diabetes is to use apple cider vinegar and cinnamon. Take two tablespoons of raw unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar, mixed with four to six ounces of liquid and one teaspoon of cinnamon. (cinnamon triples insulins efficiency among other benefits for diabetics) You could make the “liquid” yellow dock tea and sweeten it with stevia, for a “four way” diabetic tonic. I take apple cider vinegar at least twice a day with a teaspoon of baking soda. The baking soda keeps the vinegar from making my teeth hurt, and it further assist the ACV in raising the bodies alkalinity.

Bitter Melon: This natural diabetes cure, has a centuries old reputation as a powerfully effective diabetic treatment. The blood sugar lowering abilities of this tropical vegetable are well documented. Bitter melon is composed of several compounds with confirmed anti-diabetic properties. It can be purchased as an encapsulated powder, although the fresh juice is preferred.

Banaba: Banaba extract is commonly known as “plant insulin” or as “botanical insulin.” It is usually taken as a tea or in extract form. It is a particularly well known cure for diabetes in the Philippines as well as in Japan. It is relied on to reverse not only childhood diabetes which is better known as juvenile diabetes, but type 2 diabetes as well. It is mainly used in the U.S. for it’s ability to help assist in safely controlling weight.

Marine Phytoplankton: This highly acclaimed super food, promotes and maintains optimum health by boosting and supporting all systems within the body. Phytoplankton contains a unique combination of life sustaining nutrients including; Omega 3 essential fatty acids (EPA and DHA), protein, chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.

Green food supplements such as blue green algae, barley, wheat grass, alfalfa, etc. have also been shown to be very helpful in reversing diabetes, and as an added diabetic benefit will immediately eliminate all sugar cravings. However, if your wanting to rely on only one single green super food, marine phytoplankton is the obvious choice.

No matter which natural remedies for diabetes you decide to take advantage of, make a schedule and take them a set number of times interspersed throughout the day. Don’t overdo it! A mood of moderation and “wait & see” is always best, even though they’re all natural.

You can order any of these cures on-line, or find them at health food stores. Be sure to study any accompanying information on how they work, and how to use them. If you are already on insulin, absolutely do not stop taking insulin, and do not stop measuring your glucose levels, without your doctor’s permission.

In concluding I would like to salute your effort to be free from diabetes by taking advantage of holistic methods. Your success is guaranteed if you stay within the standard guidelines and strictly follow the program you settled on. Alternative medicine offers a much more optimistic prognosis than any prescription pad wielding, lifetime of medication promising MD ever will.

Treating Frequent Headaches–Without Drugs

November 30th, 2009  |  Published in Sexual Health

If you suffer from frequent headaches, neck pain or jaw pain, you might want to visit a dentist before you reach for any painkillers.

<== Click here for more on migraine relief ==>

Experts say that people with misaligned bites often have jaw and neck muscles that are overworked. Those overtired muscles can lead to a number of ailments–including headaches, neck and jaw pain-that people don’t associate with dental problems. LVI Global, the leading postgraduate training facility for dentists, specifically deals with such issues. LVI Global trains dentists to use a number of techniques that help improve jaw position by focusing on what’s known as the “neuromuscular bite.” Here’s a closer look at how an LVI Global-trained neuromuscular dentist might treat the pain caused by what is known as TMD:

A Problem Ailment

TMD, short for temporomandibular (jaw joint) disorder, affects more than 15 percent of American adults. It is particularly prevalent among women. Common signs and symptoms include headaches, even migraines, pain in the head and neck, painful clicking or popping of the jaw joint, swallowing problems, excessive snoring or sleep apnea and limited mouth opening, among other things.

Diagnosis

When checking for TMD, a neuromuscular dentist takes a patient’s history and does a physical exam of the teeth, posture, head and neck. The dentist may also conduct a series of tests using noninvasive instruments. If it is determined that the patient’s bite is the likely cause of the pain, the neuromuscular dentist will identify a new jaw position that leaves the patient’s jaw muscles in a relaxed state.

Treatment

There are a number of treatment options, but the process often starts with a patient wearing for a short period of time what’s known as an orthotic. An orthotic is a custom-made, plastic appliance that can be worn over the teeth. It does not permanently alter a patient’s bite.

If, after wearing the appliance, a patient’s TMD symptoms go away, it can be safely assumed they were caused by poor jaw alignment. If that’s the case, patients have several options. They include dental treatment to permanently alter the bite to the new position, orthodontics or beautiful porcelain restorations. Not only is your pain eliminated but you may have a stunning new smile.

Green tea, the elixir of life

November 30th, 2009  |  Published in Sexual Health

Green tea is often referred to as the elixir of life

It is surprising to learn  the incredible health benefits provided by EGCG and other green tea antioxidants, excellent source of vitamins and minerals.

Green Tea Nutrition

Vitamins

Vitamins are essential nutrients that our body needs to survive and  cannot be produced on its own. Vitamin deficiencies can cause a variety of disorders, so it is important to make sure you get enough.

Green tea is known for having more vitamins in higher concentrations than other foods.

Many types of oolong and black tea contain few vitamins, with Vitamin C and other vitamins mostly lost during the production process.

Vitamin C

Also known as ascorbic acid, Vitamin C is an antioxidant that assists in the formation of collagen, helping the body build, repair and maintain blood vessels, scar tissue and cartilage.

Pirates always call each other “scurvy”?

Scurvy is actually a disease caused by severe vitamin C deficiency. It was common among old-time sailors on long sea voyages.

Green tea would have helped!

Green tea can contain 1.5 times more Vitamin C than red peppers, which have one of the highest concentration among vegetables.

Vitamin B2

Also known as riboflavin, Vitamin B2 is important for metabolizing energy and for the formation of red blood cells.

100 grams of sencha green tea contains 1.4 milligrams of Vitamin B2, more than 4 times that of parsley, spinach and Jew’s marrow, which have some of the highest concentrations among foods.

Vitamin B3

Also called niacin, vitamin B3 is necessary for turning food into energy, and helps improve cholesterol levels.

Folic Acid

Folic acid is an important component for prenatal vitamins, and helps prevent birth defects.

In adults, folic acid is crucial for developing red blood cells. Deficiency can cause anemia.

However, if you are pregnant, please discuss drinking green tea with your doctor as there are known side effects.

Green Tea and Pregnancy – A Fertility Aid?

Green tea contains more than 5 times the folic acid of spinach or parsley, and around the same amount as dried seaweed, which has one of the highest concentrations of any food.

Beta Carotene

My grandmother always used to say, “Eat your carrots, they will help you see better at night”.

As it turns out, beta carotene, the nutrient that makes carrots orange, is a potent antioxidant that actually does help you see in the dark.

Beta carotene is found in particularly high quantities in matcha, which contains 5 times more than carrots!

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that works to protect your cells, especially fat cells, from free radicals.

Sencha contains around 32 times the Vitamin E found in spinach and around 2 times that found in chili peppers.

Hardly any foods have it in higher concentration.

Although it is present in all green tea, it does not dissolve in water, so matcha powder is the only type of tea that provides Vitamin E you can actually use.

Minerals

Trace minerals are only needed in small amounts, but that does not mean you should overlook them. They are vital for many different bodily functions.

Tea contains around 5-7% minerals, mainly potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium, as well as small quantities of manganese, zinc and copper.

Manganese

This mineral is important for metabolism, healthy joints, and maintaining normal blood sugar.

Green tea is one of the best sources of manganese around!

Potassium

Important for maintaining a regular heartbeat.

Fluoride

Promotes a healthy smile by preventing cavities.

Magnesium

This mineral is necessary for life and is found in every cell in your body.

Calcium

Calcium helps build strong bones.

Nutritions

Saponins

Saponins are found in all teas, and result in the frothing seen in teas like matcha. Tea leaves contain around 0.1% saponins, which give it its strong bitterness and astringency.

There currently is a lot of dubious promotion of saponins as a dietary supplement.

These substances are found in traditional medicine preparations. They have anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergy properties and have been shown to lower blood pressure and prevent obesity and increase immunity.

GABA

GABA is also known as Gamma-aminobutyric acid. It is an amino acid produced by the human body.

Its main function is to block the firing of neurons in the brain. When you are feeling stressed, it tells the brain and other body parts to slow down. This means it is a natural relaxant.

It has been used clinically for depressed sex drive, prostate problems, and as a non-addictive tranquilizer substitute.

Tea is a natural source of GABA, but special production techniques can increase the levels of natural GABA.

The Japanese discovered that if tea is fermented in a nitrogen-rich atmosphere the levels of GABA increase 5 to 10 times.

GABA tea is currently produced in Japan and Taiwan.

Green Tea Nutrition #4:

How Many Calories?

Green tea contains almost zero calories.

In fact, some will even argue green tea contains negative calories, because it contains antioxidants and caffeine that will help you increase metabolism, burn fat and lose weight.

Green Tea Nutrition #5:

Which Type of Tea?

While oolong tea and black tea have higher levels of aromatic oils, they have less nutrients than green tea.

Vitamins and minerals are very fragile, and in black tea most of them are lost as the tea is processed.

Among of the different types of tea, green tea is the best source of vitamins and minerals.

Number of Infusions

When you brew high-quality tea, you will maximize the nutrition if you infuse multiple times.

The first steeping extracts 13-15% of the nutrients in tea.

The second steeping extracts another 9%-12% , the third extracts 6-8%, and so on.

Of course, you will want to stop resteeping when the tea runs out of flavor.

Can You Drink Your Vitamins?

Green tea offers two advantages over vitamin supplements.

First, nutrients from whole foods are easier to absorb into your body than nutrients from pills.

Second, green tea contains much more than just vitamins. It also has lots of antioxidants like EGCG.

Of course, if you are taking supplements because your doctor prescribes them , you should continue doing so.

Pour yourself a delicious cup of a tea, and drink your vitamins!

Migraine – A brief overview of symptoms and complications

November 30th, 2009  |  Published in Sexual Health

Migraine is a neurological condition. This neurological syndrome is more common in women than in men. The condition is characterized by headaches and nausea. Most men and women display a change in bodily perceptions when suffering from migraines. A typical migraine headache lasts for anywhere between 4 and 72 hours. For many, migraines are accompanied by unusual experiences that are visual, sensory or olfactory in nature. There are various triggers for migraines, which include allergic reaction, stress, and smoking, inadequate food intake and alcohol addiction. At times, tension headaches can also lead to migraines.

Migraine

The International Headache Society defines the intensity of pain for migraines; the scale of pain is between 0 and 3. Zero means that there is no pain, 1 means mild pain that is associated with migraine but does not interfere with the daily activities. If a person suffering from migraine is on the scale of 2 then he/she is said to have moderate pain, which inhibits but does not restrict daily routine. At 3, the migraine pain is severe and prevents all usual, daily activities. Each migraine attack differs from the other with respect to the phases that a person experiences. The first is the prodrome and it can occur a few days or hours before the headache. The second is the aura phase which occurs just before the headache. The third is the pain phase, while the fourth is the postdrome phase.

Symptoms of migraine

The symptoms of a migraine are dependant on the severity of the condition and the frequency of the occurrence. Severe headache occurring on just one side of the head is the prime symptom of a migraine. A person suffering from migraine experiences throbbing sensations for long periods of time. It’s seen that the person is also sensitive to movement, light and sound. A migraine differs from other headaches in terms of the severity of the symptoms. For some, migraine symptoms are so severe that they become immobile. Movement causes them pain; hence they choose to do nothing till the pain subsides. Diarrhoea, nausea and exhaustion are some of the other symptoms that accompany migraine. A unique symptom of this condition is manifested in the form of an aura. It’s like a warning for the impending onset of a migraine. These warning signals can be in the form of flashing lights or black spots. Some people temporarily lose their faculty of coherent speech also.

Complications of migraines

Complications and symptoms of migraine can overlap each other. Nausea and headaches are the common complications resulting out of a migraine attack. Vertigo, vascular headache, eye pain and visual impairment are the other complications that are a result of the occurring migraine. It should be understood that the complications associated with migraine are its secondary conditions. Complications are also other disorders that are caused by the onset of a migraine. It is difficult to make a very clear distinction between the side effects and the complications of a migraine.

Natural Hair Loss Remedy

November 30th, 2009  |  Published in Sexual Health

It has been discovered that up to half of women undergo female pattern hair loss during their lifetime. Women who experience hair loss or thinning of hair can feel embarrassed and anxious. When the problem of hair loss in women is left untreated, it often becomes worse.

Natural hair loss remedies are centuries old and these traditional treatments predate the man made chemical solutions by many years. Communities all over the world have turned to these natural approaches with great success.

Hair loss can be devastating no matter what your age or gender. For those who suffer from hair loss, not much will stop them from seeking out a hair loss remedy. While there has yet to be found an ultimate cure for hair loss, there are certain things that can help combat the effects.

Exercise – Another popular natural remedy is plain and simply aerobic exercise. Just like massaging, regular exercise is supposed to be able to help deliver the right nutrients to the scalp. This will help keep the scalp and hair healthy.

Minerals such as Zinc and Magnesium also play an important role in having healthy hair, nails and skin. Just stick to the right dosage which should be under 50mg a day. These nutrients make for an effective natural hair loss remedy.

The very best and most effective natural hair loss remedy products should contain these ingredients to help you restore your hair naturally, while helping to keep the rest and you healthy.

Natural hair loss remedy has always been trusted by people because it sounds so pure, so it must be good, correct? However, while some treatments work well there is no telling which one will be the most suitable for you, as everyone possesses different body chemistries.

A natural hair loss remedy has now been developed from the true cause of androgenetic alopecia – Skull Expansion. This article explains how Skull Expansion was discovered and how simple self-help techniques completely reversed my own hair loss.

Keep on your head for 20 minutes and wash once with a neutral shampoo (I used Johnson’s Baby shampoo). Rub in the second egg yolk and wash off using only warm water.

After washing your hair with water, massage your scalp for about ten to fifteen minutes. This stimulates the blood to circulate and strengthen the hair follicles in the scalp. The best natural hair loss remedy is easily the Saw Palmetto extract. Studies have been conducted to prove the effectiveness of this extract in combating hair loss. This is because it fights the hormone DHT which chokes the hair follicles and causes baldness.

Zinc

There have been recent studies conducted that have shown that there are certain formulations of the topical zinc that can actually inhibit DHT in the skin which is known to be leading to the actual reduction of oil as well as helping it to grow. You need to be careful so that you do not overdose that could accelerate your hair loss and it can also cause the loss as well.

Garlic is not just good for our body, but also for our hair. Garlic extract can remove and destroy harmful toxins and stimulate blood circulation, important in the scalp for proper hair care and growth and prevent hair loss. Addition of garlic extract in shampoo helps to keep hair strong, preventing breakage and hair loss, while adding significant body and shine.

Vitamins for Hair Loss

November 30th, 2009  |  Published in Sexual Health

Vitamins for hair loss can help people suffering from the condition stop it from worsening. It has been known that a deficiency in some vitamins and minerals contribute greatly to hair loss. However, those who are experiencing long term hair loss are afflicted with the condition through their genes.

Vitamins for hair loss are becoming a big thing these days. They are formulated basically to help you to compensate the ignored potion of these vital vitamins in natural form. Some of the most important vitamins for hair loss are the B vitamins.

However, you need to remember that when you are losing your hair, there may be numerous causes. Therefore, when you are suffering from it, go to a doctor to see if they can pinpoint the reason you are losing hair. A blood test will tell you whether you need the vitamins for hair loss or not.

B vitamins are the most commonly taken. No, this does not mean that they cause hair loss! There are used by people to help curb hair loss problems as of all the vitamins for hair loss, B-vitamins are the ones that have proven the best results. What these vitamins do is that they can help strengthen hair to curtail the advancement of hair loss and, in some instances, have been able to stimulate hair re-growth.

One of the best vitamins for hair loss group is vitamin B6, a water soluble vitamin. This vitamin is critical for blood metabolism. Being deficient in it would normally lead to some form of anemia. Others may also become at risk of diabetes. Incidentally, both anemia and diabetes are conditions that have been cited as possible causes of non genetic hair loss.

Vitamin C is another of the vitamins for hair loss. It is basically an oxidant that helps you maintain the health of your skin and hair. The food sources where you can avail of vitamin C are green peppers, strawberries, cantaloupe, citrus fruits, tomatoes, pineapple, kiwi, dark green vegetables and potatoes. The daily dosage of vitamin C that is advisable for you is 60 mg.

This is another member of the B-complex group of vitamins. It plays a role in fat, protein and carbohydrates metabolism. Just like PABA, it is also crucial for the maintenance of hair color. Moreover, it also promotes hair growth, strength and thickness. Various studies have shown that a deficiency in biotin can result in some hair loss. Vitamins for hair loss in women like biotin can be found in milk, whole grain, egg yolk and liver.

Vitamin B5 is the second one on the list. Vitamin B5, otherwise known as panthenol, and the entire family of B vitamins has been shown in studies to help immensely in stopping hair loss and helping to quickly regrow hair that has been lost in both men and women.

There are vitamins for hair loss that can help. There is a trusted product that helps inhibit DHT, and re-grow the hair that you have lost. So, you will be stopping the bad process, and fixing the damage already done. These vitamins are the only FDA approved hair treatment that is clinically proven to reverse the process so that you re-grow your hair.

Vitamin E

It is one of the most beneficial vitamins for hair loss. It consists of antioxidant property that offers scalp stimulation by enhancing blood circulation. You can avail vitamin E from cold-processed vegetable oils, soybeans, raw seeds, and leafy green vegetables.

Who Said Losing Weight Is Hard?

November 30th, 2009  |  Published in Sexual Health

If you have become overweight and do not do enough proper exercise you are in fact losing an opportunity to have your metabolism (your body’s engine) get rid of the excess weight naturally for you. This means if you take a little time and put in a little effort you can speed up your fat burning machinery so it will slowly but surely burn off the fat and use it for fuel for your increased energy requirements.

The simple fact is if you are overweight you are eating more food than your body is burning off through movement and activity. The more overweight you become the slower your metabolism will get which means the longer you leave the problem the harder it will become to ever get back your slim trim body.

You might even say it doesn’t matter, that you are quite happy with your weight and your body size. But if someone came along and offered you a chance to be slim again with a click of the fingers it is highly likely you would take that opportunity.

Increasing the speed of our metabolism is the easiest way to lose weight without the horror of restrictive food dieting. Instead of starving if off (which doesn’t work anyway) consider improving your metabolic efficiency and have it do the work for you.

The number one way to do this is to increase the condition of your muscles. Your metabolic rate is determined by your body composition (muscle tissue/fat ratio). If you are overweight it is likely you have muscle wasting from not doing enough strength building and maintaining activity. Then your fuel burning becomes less efficient and more fat gets piled into the storage cells. So the simple and logical thing to do is to reverse this situation and boost your fat burning machinery by working your muscles.

Since the condition of your muscles is absolutely vital to lose weight you need to understand that a strength training program is the only activity that will do this. Forget your long, slow low intensity activities like walking, jogging or cycling as these do not work your muscles through their full ranges of movement under a load.

If the thought of doing this type of activity (strength training) is not appealing to you, you had better get used to the fact you will continue to gain weight along with suffering from low energy, lower than normal self esteem and are exposed to the very real risk of serious disease somewhere down the track.

Surely it is much easier to take the time to have a proper exercise program set up by a fitness professional and get started on the journey back to a strong, lean, healthy body with your fat burning machinery in peak condition. Apart from losing excess weight you will also benefit from having loads more energy, looking and feeling years (maybe even decades) younger, and protecting yourself from killer diseases that could well be sneaking up on you without you even knowing it.

It is without a single doubt that it is worth making time for a proper exercise program in your life. Once set up it and done right, just two sessions each week with have a positive impact on your metabolism and ultimately your health, wellness, vitality, energy and the way you look and feel for the rest of your life.

My name is Carolyn Hansen, and my goal is to show you how to automate your weight loss by mastering your metabolism in as little as 30 days. I have been doing it for years, and you can do it too. Come find out how.
